Catch Up

Hello there.

I hope you've all had a good Easter.  Mr Clicky and me have been to our little house in France with our friends B and S for some hard work.  You can read all about it here

The kids and me are back to school/college tomorrow, I'd rather be at home but there we are.

I have completed a few things whilst on Easter holidays.

A simple cushion cover made with Marriner Double Knit leftovers from the blanket.
Granny Square one side.
Granny Stripes on the other.  I crocheted the two pieces together with double crochet.
I also made two crochet owls from Bunny Mummy's pattern.
I gained a few more uterus when we went to France.  A BIG thank you to those who made them.  They will be going to Ethopia with my SIL and Midwives@Ethopia in May.
B's Mum has also been knitting away making blankets, so four more for the total.  Thanks J!
As I mentioned DS went to stay with my Mum and Dad.
He had a lovely time with Grandad, nattering and talking equal amounts of rubbish I'm sure.  DS taught Grandad how to play FIFA on the PS3.
The hi-light of the stay for DS was the chance to go metal detecting with Grandad.  He got to use the second best detector which is a good piece of kit and found quite a lot.
Various bits of metal, belt buckles, pony shoe and gate hinge.
He also picked up lots of Roman pottery from the surface.
The best find by far was this unassuming piece of aluminium. They got it home, cleaned it up and found it was a 1920's dolls house saucepan, sadly missing the brass handle.  It is listed as very rare.  DS was delighted and they are planning more detecting trips when the weather gets a bit warmer.  Sadly he didn't find a gold coin, that was the man next to him.
We had the sunshine this weekend, it's warmed up a bit and the biting winds have stopped.  I took the opportunity the do a bit of gardening and at least the mountain of washing dried.

That's about it for now.

Have fun............Clicky Needles

  5. Well, I'm not sure your school break was very restful for you and your family, but it was certainly productive!!! I love the colors and pattern of your pillow...versatile and clever. And your son's finds are very exciting to me even if he did not get a gold coin this time.
    xx
