Sunday Walk

Hello there.

Sorry I missed last week's post.
I'm not sure why really, just did.

As you can see (last) Sunday afternoon's walk was sunny.

We have some interesting footpaths in our surrounding area.
We came across a wonderful verge full of wild flowers with Orchids and Clover

and met some inquisitive lambs.
This Sunday was altogether different.  DS had a cricket match on the archetypal British cricket ground next to the church. As you can see from the sky, rain threatened.
Before the match started Mr Clicky and me went to explore.
Through the gate into the churchyard.
There was some lovely carving on the Lych Gate.......
some interesting looking graves......
.....but only half a church!  It fell into disrepair and was demolished in 1952.  I'm not sure that would happen today!
We had rain, wind and a not much sun.  I was wrapped up in a blanket at one point!
The Red Arrows went overhead on their way to an Air Display - didn't catch them I'm afraid!
DS' team lost, but he was happy as he got to bowl 4 overs.

On the knitting front, I've made another felt bag, with Freedom Spirit Chunky and some orange fluff.
That's about it for now I think.

Next post will be the Scavenger Hunt.
Have fun.

Bye for now...........Clicky Needles.

  1. Oh my goodness, what a strange church!! Your photos are beautiful. I like the one of the gate with the cross within it. And your bag is lovely. :)
