Have A Wonderful Time.

Hello folks.

Lots of things have happened over the last few months that I need to tell you about but for now here's a message on my new light box given to me by the lovely Miss Clicky for my (50th) Birthday.  I am hoping to getting some knitting in.

Hopefully over the next few days I'll have a bit of time to fill you in but for now

White Stuff

Hello Folks!

Here at Clicky Needles towers we caught some of the snow that has been dropping on Britain.  I awoke on Sunday morning to find lots of snow and it was still falling.  This was not so great as my new sofa was due to be delivered by Ikea.  I had a phone call early to say it wouldn't be coming.
The Velux in the kitchen were covered ~ it felt rather oppressive.
Of course, everything looks beautiful covered in snow.
I like the Christmas lights.
I can hear screams and whoops of joy from our local sledging fields.  My school has been shut for two 'snow days' the roads are really slippy and dangerous.
Yesterday morning the covering on the extension roof started to move ~ downwards.

I have been knocking it off when it reaches the bottom.
Today things have been better and it's even starting to melt a bit, although there is lots of ice on the rain chains.

Master Clicky had one day off work and went sledging with his friends ~ I wasn't tempted this time.

School is back tomorrow, it is still icy so I'm hoping that it warms up and melts during the night.

Keep warm..........Clicky Needles.

When did that happen?

Hello all.

Wow!  We're into December, I'm not sure how that has happened.  The last few weeks have flown by both at school and at home.  In Reception Class at the moment the Nativity play is the main focus, we've had a dress rehearsal and 'our' children are little stars.  They are adorable and their star dance is pretty good too.

At home I've had some lovely walks with the dog, this on top of Minchinhampton Common.
Our local woods.
Tipper is not too happy to stop for photos

but sometimes you need to stop and take it in.
I've fired up the woodburner, and what better place to relax after your walk?
I rearranged my shelving unit in the craft room and added more colourful cubes.
Still a bit more rearranging to do I think.

I went to see James Blunt.  One Word.  A-MAZE-ING.

It was a bit of shock driving through central Birmingham in rush hour traffic especially as I thought it was at the NEC but we got there in the end.

I've been melting old candles down in a bain marie
to make new ones.

And experimenting by adding loads of glitter, I'm very happy with the result.
The advent candle is burning down (a bit faster than I would like.)
And I've been folding origami stars.  I found some instructions here. The music paper came from Amazon.    They are really easy to make and I'm getting faster!
My last few pictures to leave you with, Miss Clicky's partner has been sailing around the North Sea working and visiting oil rigs on this ship for the past month.
He went from Shetland, this was Jamieson's window.  He did offer to buy me yarn but this was vetoed by Mr Clicky.
He flew back in yesterday and took this stunning picture of London as he was landing, well worth sharing.
Well, that's me for now, I'm off on another dog walk and some more star folding.
Have a great week.........Clicky Needles.
