Happy Birthday Mr Clicky!

Hello there.

A milestone has been reached here at Clicky Needles' Towers.  Mr Clicky was 50.  He took the day off work and we went out to lunch.  It was a quiet day, we don't really do big birthday celebrations.

Last Saturday we went out with some friends to see Adam Hills, the Aussie comedian.  Not only is he very funny, he is a lovely chap and if he is appearing near you I'd recommend him.  We had a smashing time with lots of laughs.

Autumn is well and truly here, although it's still fairly warm in these parts the leaves have started to fall.  I took the camera into the garden to see what was around.  The leaves from our cherry tree.
The japanese anemones are flowering but they are so unruly I keep trying ~ fairly unsuccessfully ~ to get some out.

Michaelmas Daisies
Dead flower head ~ needs removing.
On the knitting front, when I was at The Butterfly Knitting Group last week, the nursery owner came in with some balls of twine.  He asked if anyone could make some things with it so I took some.  So far I've made a little basket and I'm working on a shopping basket.

The colours are really vibrant!
I've also cast on for my Temari jumper by Cotton and Cloud.  I'm using the Hayfield Bonus Aran I bought a little bit back, not the Fiberspates Scrumptious Aran (with 45% silk) the pattern calls for but I'm sure it'll be fine.
So there we are, I'm having a quiet week ~ the TV when and how I want it ~ as Mr Clicky has gone to Russia for the week on business.

See you soon.......Clicky Needles
