Hello There.

Hello Folks!

Sorry, I missed another week, I'm not going to beat myself up about, it these things happen sometimes.

I have done a few bits and pieces although to be honest I seem to have lost my knitting mojo at the moment.

I've been hard at work with staple gun on our dining chairs, the fabric on them was in a bad state.
I had some blue spotty fabric which was left over from some curtains.  Master Clicky Needles complains that the chairs are 'too hard' so I added a thick layer of wadding as well.
Much more comfy.

Do you remember the baby blanket I made for my teacher back in the summer?
Well, yesterday I went to visit a beautiful two week old baby girl.
I was thrilled to see the blanket being used in her Moses Basket.
I have knitted a bit, a headband for Miss Clicky Needles, which at the moment she is wearing a lot, which is most gratifying.
Lastly I bought seem to have acquired two balls 400g of Hayfield Bonus Aran from Kemps.  Maybe this will bring the mojo back.
Righto, must go, I'm in the middle of Downtown Abbey and trying to post in the breaks!

See you soon.......Clicky Needles.

  1. The chairs, headband and blanket are all lovely projects, Mrs. CN! Bravo! I have to admit I am curious what has happened at the Abbey, but am determined to be patient and wait with the rest of the USA to find out....sigh :)

  3. Love the new chair covering :)

What did you think of Downton? I found it a bit slow - hopefully it will get better.

  4. I bought that yarn too (in grey), and lost track of the number of times people exclaimed 'I've never seen a ball of wool that big!' My 11yo played rugby with it... Actually today I'm wearing the jacket for the first time that I knitted with it.
I really enjoyed Downton last night, although Mary did make a bit of a miraculous recovery...
